
Nkurankan (E/R), Jan. 22, GNA – The International Child Development Programme (ICDP) Ghana, has organised a graduation ceremony for young mothers and women at Nkurankan as part of the Digital Access for Rural Empowerment (DARE) Project.
The project empowered young mothers and rural women with digital skills, economic opportunities, and personal growth to foster transformative livelihoods and economic independence.
It was supported by UNESCO, the Mastercard Foundation, and the Ghana–India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (GI-KACE).
The graduation ceremony took place at the Nkurankan market square and was attended by traditional chiefs, queen mothers, and parents.
At the event, Nana Adwoa Afriyie Bonsu, Programmes Manager of ICDP Ghana, congratulated the teenage mothers on their successful graduation into new realms of empowerment.

She said, ” vocational training, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship are accessible pathways to economic emancipation, which will benefit not only the graduates but also their families and the wider community. ”
She advised the young mothers and women to take advantage of the opportunities offered them and use them judiciously.
